I gave my first haircut in the kitchen when I was 12—just trying to help out my brothers. That early passion led me to a cosmetology program in high school, and eventually to working in a salon for eight years. During that time, I had the opportunity to travel, compete in hairstyling competitions, and teach other stylists across the country.
When I became a parent, we built a salon in our home so I could continue doing what I love while raising my kids. Once they were older, I joined this shop in Greenwood to focus on men’s styling—and I immediately fell in love with it. That was 15 years ago, and I’ve been here ever since.
A few years ago, the shop was at risk of closing. I couldn’t imagine losing it, so I stepped in, got my business license, and took over. Since then, I’ve been proud to keep the doors open and the chairs filled. I love this work, I love the people who come in, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Greenwood community.
